Do you buy business cards?

This post has NOTHING to do with babywear! But many of you, from one time or another will look at getting a business card made. I always love to give a shout out to a great business that consistently gives me a great experience and https://www.expresscards.com.au is one of those businesses. No, they are not relatives or friends, I just got referred to them by a friend and for good reason. These guys put the serve into service. Not only are they the cheapest, greatest quality, business cards you'll find this side of the moon, these speed freaks have your order on your front door step...YES, courier delivered to your designated address BEFORE you can hit the 'Order now' button. AND its all included in the cost...and SO cheap!! I know I sound like I actually own the company but I don't. I'm just a really impressed customer and they don't even know I'm writing this promo for them. That's what doing things right gets you in return. People will say good things about you and refer you, in whatever it is you do. As simple as that. N.B. You have to supply them with accurate artwork. Part of the reason they can deliver this product at cost and on time is because they don't have to stuff around fixing up your mistakes. If you make a mistake, they'll print it.

Do you have a market stall business?

Then you will be aware of compulsory Public Liability Insurance, usually required to the tune of $10mil.

Formerly QUFTA was the cheapest Public Liability around however they have now become Traders Voice (QBE are still their underwriters) and their premiums have risen slightly to $225 although they do cover for $20mil.

Going in search of a cheaper deal I found AAMI was also now offering market stall insurance. If you buy online its just $195 per/annum for $10mil. cover. Plus you get to print out your own certificate so its on hand when you need to fax it to your market managers.

Move over Chucky!

Just thought I'd share my 2yr old's favourite toy.

She insists, of course, on sleeping with it every night.

I would insist on keeping it outside with the doors locked so it can't chew its way in!

Please post a photo of your toddlers favourite toy/bear/scary thing!

Is mine the only toddler that prefers 'posessed' toys??

Preparing for Shopping with a Toddler

I love this website and can't resist posting another one of their gems!
"10. Go to your local supermarket. Take with you the nearest thing you can find to a preschool child -- a fully-grown goat is excellent. If you intend to have more than one child, take more than one goat. Buy your week's groceries without letting the goats out of your sight. Pay for everything the goats eat or destroy. Until you can easily accomplish this, do not even contemplate having children." - http://www.stanford.edu/~bfenton/parenting.html

Preparing for Maternity

I found this hilarious website. Check it out.
"1. Women: To prepare for maternity, put on a dressing gown and stick a pillowcase filled with beans down the front. Leave it there for 9 months. After 9 months, take out 10% of the beans.

Men: To prepare for paternity, go to the local drug store, tip the contents of your wallet on the counter, and tell the pharmacist to help himself. Then go to the supermarket. Arrange to have your salary paid directly to their head office. Go home. Pick up the paper. Read it for the last time." - http://www.stanford.edu/~bfenton/parenting.html

Pink or Blue?

If one more person says my baby girl is a "cute little boy" I'm going to scream!
Why oh, why, must a blue pair of pants confuse people so much?
Must I dolly her up in a pink dress and ribbons to make them all happy?
Don't they know, in actual fact, it used to be the other way around?
"In Western culture, the practice of assigning pink to an individual gender began in the 1920s. From then until the 1940s, pink was considered appropriate for boys because being related to red it was the more masculine and decided color, while blue was considered appropriate for girls because it was the more delicate and dainty color, or related to the Virgin Mary Since the 1940s, the societal norm was inverted; pink became considered appropriate for girls and blue appropriate for boys, a practice that has continued into the 21st century". - Wikipedia.

Election musings

Politicians and nappies have one thing in common. They should both be changed regularly, and for the same reason!
